My question is: What is the use of the "Request" section if we can't view to see if we can fill any unless we have 25 posts? That makes NO sense to me at all. Can someone please explain this concept?
I understand making the 25 min post requirement to request something or to get to certain sections....but not to see the requests

Well actually its useful its abit annoying to be honest but it helps to separate the plain users which just hop on this forum to download some software with users that want to be part of the forum community, i honestly think its a good idea

I agree with the "pop on taker thing", but that still doesn't answer the question of "How can we fill requests if we can't see them?" A LOT of forums have minimum post numbers.....but they don't protect the request area from being "Viewed". Maybe if there is a big concern with leechers or takers, putting a hide feature for the links is suggested.

It's to prevent people from finding this site, leeching and leaving with 1 or 2 posts. It is supposed to let the community grow, but as far as I'm concerend, it just scares people off.

In his first sentence kazura999 hits the nail on the head and says why.
In his closing statement he gives undenyable proof why this is a great policy, it simply scares off the leechers.

Torrent exists so you dont have to partcipate, or worry about a files status, because you can see it. If you can't torrent but the concept of a community is offensive to you check out bearshare it is made for you.

Besides when did it become L33T to have the Karmic Awareness of someone who clubs baby seals for a living?

And if you dont plan to give anything back in terms of taking the time to maybe help another user - why go to all the effort of filling out a forum username request form....
