DOS (Disk Operative System) Is one of the first operative systems developed for PCs, is a command line input output code. You usually have to type everything you want the computer to do, like copying a file:

C:\copy book.txt a:

This means you want to copy a file named book.txt from unit C (usually your hard drive) to unit A.

This operative system have been retired from the market for some years now, but you can still find a DOS emulation in any version of windows.


PALM OS is like it's name says, is an exclusive operative system for Palm and some treo devices, it is a limited but effective graphical interfase, where you instruct your Palm device to move, delete, execute programs by choosing options with your stylus from a drop down menu.
