can not view streaming video

For last two days, whenever I am trying to view Streaming Video either in IE6 or Firefox, I am getting following error message :

"Can not create DirectShow player"

Earlier I never got such message and was able to view all streaming Vedeos.

How can I fix this problem ? Please help.

Try re-installing Direct X9.

Okay for a start if you update your IE to 7 you might have better luck. secondly you could be having problems due to your IE plugins, strongly suggest
to remove them and see how you go without plugins. to do that Open IE and from there go under Tools>Manage Add-Ons>Enable or Disable Add-Ons.
try those remedys first. if the problem continues there's a good chance it could be F4E with the error. I have just come from the streaming forum and
seems to be working fine for me...
