GoW 2 Storyline

[hide]Gears of War 2, takes place six months after the detonation of the Lightmass Bomb at the end of the first game. Though most of the Locust Horde was destroyed, the explosion also caused much of the liquid Imulsion underground to vaporize, causing a fatal disease called "Rust Lung" to spread among the diminished human population. While the humans dealt with their casualties, the surviving Locust found a way to build huge sinkholes under the remaining human strongholds. The once impenetrable Jacinto Plateau, one of the last remaining refuges for humans, is showing signs that the same fate awaits it. In order to stop the fall of Jacinto, Marcus Fenix, Dominic Santiago, and a new Delta Squad spearhead the counterattack against the Locust.[/hide]

New Characters

Tai Kaliso

Making his first appearance in Gears of War 2, Tai is a spiritual and meditative warrior from a tradition of honor-bound fighters. Pictures have shown that Tai is heavily tattooed on the left side of his face and on both arms (even under his shielded shoulder/arm) with a Mohawk hairstyle, with armour that is black with a shield-like attachment on his shoulder, something none of the other Gears have.He also has silver earrings in both ears.

Dizzy Wallin

Also a new character in Gears of War 2, Dizzy is from a family of Stranded rescued by Operation Lifeboat, a C.O.G. program which evacuated Stranded families to COG-controlled zones in exchange for able bodied men of the family to service in the military. Dizzy wears hand-me-down armour, and sports a cowboy hat and bushy beard, he also speaks with a southern drawl, adding to the appearance. He also has tattoos on both his arms, small, chrome, hoop earrings hanging from strings in both ears, and in most pictures is smoking a small cigar.[3] A recent concept art featuring both Dizzy and Tai revealed Dizzy's last name to be Wallin.
