Ad-Aware from Lavasoft has long been the industry-leader in spyware detection and removal and this latest version raises that bar even further. There are commercial versions of this product that have more functionality, but Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition is available for free for personal use and does an excellent job of helping you keep your computer clean from adware and spyware pests.

Spyware Doctor 3.5

Spyware Doctor 3.5 is the best version yet. It blocked all but one of our 15 spyware samples and removed all but one. It also handled most of our commercial keyloggers. The results page now gives useful info about found threats, though the Quarantine List still needs some improvement.



Removed and blocked all but one spyware threat in testing. New Kernel Delete and hidden-process removal fight rootkits. Scan Results now includes local threat details.
