Hi,

Most of toshibas backers dropped them hence why HD decryption is free on most asus boards and all ati cards, it was as people expected a DVD or FVD style disc compaitble with existing dvd.

Sony won, which is good since they invented CD in the first place and they lost the BETA versus VHS war.

So if you have an ATI AVIVO is the answer for free HD playing.

Most shops dont stock them any more in my country, but yeah on the bright side free play back

Just as well since the drives were stupidly priced.

And hey sony deserve to win once and a while

I Prefer HD, But Bluray Will Come Out On Top Because Of Its Massive Disc Size, Its Not Really Important But Lets Take "Lost Oddssey" For "Xbox 360"

It Has 4 Disc's, If They Used Bluray That Would Be One Or Two Discs, Bluray Only Good For Gaming, Cause I Would Like To See A Film Thats Big Enough For Bluray

I'm glad that they have settled for one now.....Having 2 different formats made it difficult for people to buy a HD player. Those who couldn't wait and bought an HDDVD player, I wonder what they will do with their player
