No use having a grey icon. officially a grey kaspersky icon means something needs fixing to be fully protected (eg KIS or KAV not working right). If the icon is grey all the time after this hack, there's no way it can alert you when something is wrong with your protection.
Plus, having to update manually all the time is no way to run security software -- it's easily forgotten.
All in all, a pretty useless hack in my opinion.
Just admit it. Kaspersky is bullet-proof against hacking in a way which is acceptable to most (and your way isn't).
Either buy it or use something else which is less hassle (a lot less hassle).
